Position summary:
Applies standard inspection procedures during and after construction, upgrades, retrofits, and quality assurance to ensure electrical components' safety and conformance to plans, specifications, and codes. This position is not eligible for employer sponsorship except for TN visa classification.
We have an opportunity for an Electrical Field Services Inspector to work on projects for municipal, industrial, federal, and private clients, primarily in the water and wastewater industry in southeastern Virginia. Responsibilities include coordinating construction activities, inspecting compliance with NEC and client standards, testing, commissioning, and developing as-built documentation.
JMT offers career growth, health benefits, and an ESOP. Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience and certifications.
Essential Functions:
Review designs for constructability
Perform inspections and ensure compliance with NEC and safety standards
Coordinate with project teams and clients
Maintain records and documentation
Interact with various stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; experience may substitute
4+ years construction inspection experience
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and electrical standards
Valid driver’s license and ability to perform field work
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in related fields
Supervisory experience
Work is field-based, involving physical activities and outdoor conditions. Qualified applicants will be considered regardless of protected characteristics.
