Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, fabrication, and mechanical and electrical systems. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities and maintaining our equipment to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
Perform regular preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, tools, and machinery Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Repair or replace faulty components, parts, or systems Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns Maintain detailed maintenance logs and repair records
Fabrication and Manufacturing Support:
Assist in the setup and adjustment of production equipment Fabricate custom parts or components as needed for repairs or improvements Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency Provide technical support and guidance to operators on equipment operation and maintenance
Electrical Systems Management:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components Troubleshoot electrical issues in manufacturing equipment and facility systems Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations Perform upgrades and modifications to electrical systems as needed
Preventive Maintenance Planning:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment Identify areas for improvement in maintenance procedures and processes Recommend and implement cost-effective solutions to reduce downtime and increase efficiency
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety within the facility Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies Place orders for necessary materials and equipment Organize and manage the maintenance workshop and storage areas
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on the latest maintenance techniques and technologies Participate in training and professional development opportunities Contribute ideas for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
