Our multidisciplinary team leverages expertise in rotating machinery, solar, battery storage, electrical power systems, industrial control systems, reliability, sensor technology and process technology to pioneer a comprehensive understanding of current risks and the technologies of tomorrow.
Position Overview
As a pivotal member of our team, you will engage in groundbreaking projects under the guidance of a Team Leader/Area Manager. Your role will include planning, conducting, and directing the development and evaluation of scientific and engineering projects within the electrical engineering discipline, aimed at increasing technical knowledge and providing innovative solutions. Your focus will be on engineering risk & reliability; responsibilities (with electrical discipline focus) include evaluation of new and existing designs, emerging technologies, and safety/protection systems; development of advanced inspection, maintenance and monitoring techniques and practices; performing root cause analyses of industrial loss events; and developing/providing guidance to address loss concerns of industry.
Key Responsibilities
Innovate and Solve: Develop engineering solutions, evaluate new technologies, and advance scientific knowledge in electrical engineering. Communicate and Collaborate: Serve as a technical communicator between the company, its customers, and external organizations. Lead and Market: Develop and market proposals for research development supported by internal and external sources. Learn and Expand: Progressively develop competence in various engineering or scientific techniques to meet company objectives. Report and Inform: Keep the Team Leader/Area Manager informed of project status and progress, addressing any significant matters affecting objectives. Education: PhD in Electrical Engineering OR MS + 5 years of related experience OR BS + 8 years. Experience: 5+ years in design and/or operation & maintenance of electrical/power generation equipment such as generators, transformers, switchgear, wind turbines, solar PV units, and battery energy storage. Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines is necessary. Exposure to power electronics, electrical system studies, and modeling is desired. Research and Industry Recognition: Experience in engineering or research in electrical engineering that commands industry recognition or leads to publication in peer-reviewed journals is a plus.

Compensation, Grade, and Job Title will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and technical skillset.
