Sr. Developer - Java

The Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation of business and technical information technology solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology. The scope for Developer (Core) is systems based on core technologies, while the scope for Developer (COTS) pertains to custom off-the-shelf systems. Developer (Niche) refers to niche technologies such as e-commerce systems, with Specialty Development in Delta terminology referring to Mobility and TPF. Responsibilities include: Constructing, testing, and implementing portions of business and technical IT solutions. Participating in solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions. Using tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business or technical problems. Applying specialized knowledge in areas like assembly/integration, industry expertise, or legacy evolution. Interacting with customers to understand their business environment and technical needs. Validating project scope, plans, and deliverables. Leading design, development, implementation, and support of IT solutions across multiple platforms and technologies. Defining project scope, plans, and implementation timelines. Researching and recommending new technologies, processes, tools, and techniques. Qualifications include: Minimum 6+ years of experience. Top skills required: Proficiency in Java and Python, with experience using AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., GitLab CI, CodePipeline). Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with event-driven architectures, serverless computing, and data streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis). Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies, with AWS certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Developer, Solutions Architect – Professional).
