Mainframe Development Lead Technology Lead - US Company ITL USA Requisition ID 136556BR Infosys is seeking a Lead - Mainframe development & migrations responsible for diagnosing problem areas, designing innovative solutions, facilitating deployment, and defining and automating processes. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design. Play an important role in ensuring the latest features and improvements are deployed on time to millions of broadband devices through periodic releases. Required Qualifications: Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Tampa, FL, or willing to relocate. Travel to project locations may be required. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in the specialty can substitute each year of education. At least 4 years of overall IT experience. Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe application development and support. Strong expertise in Mainframe technologies: PL1, Assembler, Cobol, CICS, JCL, IMS, DB2. Experience in migrating Mainframe applications to open technologies like Java and Microservices. Experience in enterprise and system architecture and design methodologies. The responsibilities include: Solution, manage, maintain, and support Mainframe applications, including high availability, backups, performance tuning, and security. Understand requirements, create and review designs, validate architecture, and ensure high service levels. Participate in project estimation, provide solution delivery inputs, conduct risk planning, and review code and test plans. Lead teams towards developing high-quality code, knowledge sharing, and adherence to organizational guidelines. Contribute to building efficient systems and support clients' digital transformation. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Maintain Mainframe systems and support migration to open platforms. Support Mainframe tech refresh and software upgrades. Develop and maintain documentation and data flow diagrams. Collaborate with clients and teams for design, development, and release planning. Implement disaster recovery and security strategies. Preferred Skills: Exposure to AWS cloud technologies. Optional experience in Java and Microservices is a plus. This role involves sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Communication via phone, email, or face-to-face is required. Travel may be necessary.
