Position Summary Bring your medical experience and passion for patient care as an Endoscopy Technician at our Banner University Medical Center Phoenix location. In this role, you will assist in all types of GI, Biliary and Pulmonary procedures, including advanced/interventional Biliary and Pulmonary procedures and remote procedures throughout the facility. This is a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Core Functions

Assists with case preparation, pulls appropriate instruments and supplies, and maintains accurate preference card information. Reviews cases for procedural needs and ensures correct diagnostic and therapeutic devices are available.

Assists in performing endoscopic procedures in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, anticipating and preparing for changing needs.

Demonstrates aseptic technique and universal precautions, disposing of sharps and trash. Responsible for cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and storage of scopes and reusable devices, ensuring unused supplies are returned appropriately.

Shows knowledge of all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, assists with proper setup and patient positioning, and helps clean/stock procedure rooms and carts.

Supports departmental operations by assisting with clerical duties as needed.

Works under direct supervision, following pre‑established procedures and protocols. Internal customers are patients and all levels of staff; external customers may include practicing physicians and patient families.

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.

Certification for BLS is required.

This position requires clinical knowledge normally associated with 1–2 years of previous experience in a health‑care setting. Must demonstrate effective organizational, communication and human‑relations skills.

Preferred Qualifications Certification preferred.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
