Position Associate Litigation Attorney

Compensation Base pay range:

$110,000



$170,000

per year.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of litigation, including depositions, legal research, drafting and arguing motions, case management, and trial preparation.

Participate actively in the firm’s toxic‑tort, product‑liability, professional‑liability, and construction‑defect practices.

Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents, and file them with the court.

Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.).

Provide advice and counsel to clients regarding legal rights, obligations, and potential liabilities.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and opposing counsel.

Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure effective case management.

Stay current with latest developments in the law to enhance legal knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Good standing membership in the Alabama state bar.

Proven experience in legal research, legal writing, law‑and‑motion practice, toxic‑tort, product‑liability, pleadings, professional‑liability, or construction‑defect litigation.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented setting.

Proficiency with legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
