Senior Staff Engineer DC/DC Power Supply Applications at Infineon Technologies. This role involves developing, optimizing and promoting system solutions for AI and Data Center applications. You are responsible for supporting product (G2M) go-to-market activities for AI and Datacenter applications. This includes both isolated and non-isolated DC/DC converters and will be responsible for reference design, application notes, white papers, and internal technical training. You are responsible for engineering design efforts for system solutions, creating collaterals and supporting customer design-in. Your Role

Execute system solution roadmap that helps Infineon achieve the goal to be market leader in AI, datacenter solution provider (application notes, solution boards, applications block diagrams, system value prop., Tech notes, simulation models) Evaluate and describe system architecture and application requirements for Server power supplies Carry out research and study systems being sold on the market to understand topology, content and key technical issues. Perform teardowns. Define quantifiable technical value propositions and collaterals on application level and evaluate new solutions such as GaN Be responsible for system concept verification and design-in collaterals, including concept evaluation designs and technical customer support on application level where needed Conduct technical trainings on system level with internal and external stakeholders Collaborate with Digital marketing team for proper system solution positioning, system block representation & creations on Infineon websitesthat ensure the ease of searchability and understanding of solution for Infineon’s customers Provide technical inputs to customer proposals (RFIs/RFQs). Contributing to digital & analog controllers, and power stages product feature definition Occasional travel (Approximately 10-15% of the time) for customer meetings Your Profile

BSEE or MSEE preferred in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in power electronics with emphasis on isolated/non-isolated DC/DC power converters including extensive lab skills for the test and debug of switch mode power supplies. System design including concept, block diagrams, schematic, PCB layout and board level debugging, test and validation. Experience using simulation and PCB design tools Experience mentoring junior engineers in the team, providing training on power electronics topics, conducting design reviews before release. Good communication skills in both verbal and written English Desired Skills

Experience in using digital & analog controllers and gate drivers for power management (Si & GAN) Experience in magnetics design and optimization Experience with safety and EMI compliance An advanced degree or doctorate in electrical engineering, power electronics or a related technical field Profound expertise in brick designs, rack power supplies, Artificial Intelligence At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Application Engineering, System Engineering, ideally at OEM, Tier1 or Engineering Service Provider #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.

The Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate in the United States is:

El Segundo, CA Minimum of $128,400 salary per year / Maximum of $176,600 salary per year. In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
