The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for accelerating the firm's data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the company's data, as well as leveraging this data to generate insights and drive decision‑making. The CDAO is also responsible for developing and implementing solutions that support the firm's commercial goals by harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop new products, improve productivity, and enhance risk management effectively and responsibly.
As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate - AIML Data Platforms Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market‑leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develops secure high‑quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes‑oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
Collaborate with development teams to enable the delivery of high‑quality, secure, and scalable applications on the cloud
Stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements in cloud technologies and bring in recommendations for adoption and implementation of new tools/technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands‑on experience with one or more cloud computing platform providers AWS/Azure/GCP
Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
Advanced knowledge of Containerization and Kubernetes
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
Hands‑on experience with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning Tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane & Cloud Formation
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with Python or GoLang
Proven track record of developing automated solutions and scripts using Python to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention
Hands‑on experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing infrastructure on AWS Cloud with a view on Cost Optimization
Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, ELB, S3, Lambda, and RDS
