Base Pay Range
$57.85/hr – $86.80/hr
Responsible for the management and administration of rehabilitation services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, recreational therapy, and related therapies. Ensures continuity of quality patient care by monitoring and updating policies and procedures accordingly.
Major Responsibilities
Manages department operations of rehabilitation services which may include evaluation and treatment of patients with physical, occupational, speech, athletic, recreation, cardiac or psychological rehabilitation needs. Ensures staff provide effective, quality patient care.
Develops, maintains, and evaluates rehabilitation programs. Monitors rehabilitation trends and identifies opportunities for program development and new services.
Develops quality standards for program outcomes, performance improvement, customer satisfaction data, documentation, billing/fee structures, educational needs, and clinical standards.
Develops, establishes, promotes and communicates site-based measurable goals and objectives related to the strategic plan in conjunction with other leadership in order to meet site-specific and community needs.
Establishes and administers business development initiatives and marketing strategies for programs in collaboration with business and market development. Implements changes that impact programs based on outcome data.
Facilitates implementation of care management strategies. Analyzes trends to determine productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction and develops improvement plans.
Coordinates advertising and publicity events in collaboration with public relations.
Ensures site meets local, state, and federal compliance standards, guidelines and practices, and meets accreditation standards of the DNV and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), if applicable. Develops, maintains, and implements policies and procedures in conjunction with other leadership.
Promotes staff to develop effective physician partnerships and referral relations. Monitors physician referral trends and adjusts site strategies accordingly.
Formulates, implements, and monitors short and long‑range goals in conjunction with other leadership.
Performs human resources responsibilities for staff including interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization’s Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization’s business.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required
Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Wisconsin, or
Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Wisconsin, or
Speech‑Language Pathology license issued by the state of Wisconsin
Education Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, or
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, or
Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology
Experience Required
Typically requires 7 years of experience in clinical therapy services in a rehabilitation setting. Includes 3 years of management experience in staff, budgets and multiple rehabilitation functions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Demonstrated leadership skills including project management, decision making, delegation, prioritization, team building, time management, customer service, and conflict resolution.
Intermediate computer skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Exposed to a normal office environment.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
