Job Overview We are hiring a Staff Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Diego, CA. In this position, you will develop and maintain manufacturing and test processes for CGM devices to help improve the lives of people with diabetes.

Responsibilities

Design and deploy chemical/mechanical manufacturing and test processes to support the development and manufacture of CGM devices.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Manufacturing, Software, Automation) to define requirements and identify solutions that drive high‑quality processes.

Conduct thorough evaluations of processes using experimental design techniques and failure analysis to improve process robustness.

Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback for new products/processes.

Prepare documentation including protocols, reports, procedures, and FMEAs.

Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge‑sharing environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in bio/chemical/mechanical engineering or related field.

6+ years of relevant hands‑on experience with high‑volume manufacturing and test method development (medical device or regulated industry preferred).

Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485 quality management systems.

Strong background in product design lifecycle and technology transfer to manufacturing.

Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and prioritization skills.

Experience generating technical documentation for manufacturing environments.

Proven ability to handle ambiguity and work hands‑on in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.

Experience with statistical software (JMP, Minitab, etc.), test method development and root‑cause analysis techniques a plus.

Experience and Education Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8–12 years related experience or a Master’s degree and 5–7 years equivalent industry experience, or a PhD and 2–4 years of experience.

Salary $111,100.00 – $185,100.00
