TexTerra Engineering is seeking a full-time
Construction Materials Laboratory Technician
to assist with daily testing operations in our Carrollton laboratory. The ideal candidate will have experience in a construction or materials testing environment and be comfortable working with concrete, soils, and aggregate samples. We are open to training motivated individuals with strong attention to detail and a good work ethic. Candidates must live within approximately 30 minutes of Carrollton, TX (areas such as Lewisville, The Colony, Plano, Frisco, Addison, Coppell, Farmers Branch, or North Dallas).
Responsibilities
Strip, mark, and prepare concrete beams and cylinders for testing
Perform compressive strength testing of concrete cylinders and flexural testing of beams
Conduct soil and aggregate tests, including gradations, Atterberg limits, and Proctor compaction tests
Record and report test data accurately in accordance with ASTM and TxDOT procedures
Maintain equipment and a clean, organized laboratory workspace
Assist with sample inventory, labeling, and documentation
Support other lab operations as assigned by the Laboratory Manager
Qualifications
Prior experience in construction materials testing or construction (but not required)
ACI Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification is a plus
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Basic math and computer skills
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Schedule and Pay
Full-time position (Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed)
Weekly pay
Competitive hourly rate based on experience
