Licensed Nurse - LPN or RN (Part-Time, 3rd Shift EOW)
Base pay range: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr The Licensed Nurse @ The Fitzgerald provides high quality nursing services to community residents based on each resident’s individual service plan and physician’s orders. Responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.
What will I do every day?
Monitor residents’ well-being in a general way and report any changes in condition to the appropriate associate/department immediately
Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find an appropriate associate to assist
Learn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer service, exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction
Assess residents to identify their physical, psychosocial and environmental needs
Follow environmental and safety guidelines/standards per company policy and procedure
Identify and recommend other disciplines needed for quality care of the resident
Document evaluation of nursing interventions including resident response
Assess resident and staff knowledge base of disease process, treatment regimen and/or medication administration and assist with care plans
Provide resident care activities under the direction of the Care Services Director or Director of Nursing using current nursing standards
Assist with Medication Management Program
Present required new hire training and ongoing skills training for associates and maintain appropriate documentation
Support ongoing associate and peer recognition and appreciation
Support open and honest communication with and between all associates
Work as part of the team within your department and across the community
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis
Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately
Adhere to all regulations, laws and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook
Support continuous improvement
Understand and support the community sales process
Perform other related duties as required
What will I need to be successful in this role?
Graduate of an accredited RN/LVN/LPN program
One-year or more experience as a nurse in a senior care setting preferred
Assisted living and/or dementia experience preferred
Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?
Current active, unencumbered nursing license in the state of practice
Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
