General Purpose Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and attending to the Robotic Packaging Work Cell.
NOTE: Wearing personal protective equipment – Safety glasses, ear muffs/ear plugs, and steel toe shoes/boots.
Essential Functions
Set up paper tables, ensuring the have an adequate supply to cover the production run.
Accurately cut paper to size based on product requirements and specifications.
Load shipping racks into the packing positions, ensure complete setup prior to start of production.
Shrink wrap fully loaded racks once filled before they are removed from the rack.
Monitor robotic status indication lights to ensure robots are active and operating.
Understand and follow all safety practices and guidelines for working in and around the robotic packaging work cell.
Perform basic troubleshooting and work with Maintenance to address system errors.
Perform end of day and end of run activities.
Must always be at work area, never leave unattended.
Cleans robotic packaging cell work area. Places broken/discarded glass in waste container.
Assists maintenance with replacing minor components on operating equipment.
Performs general clean-up tasks upon request.
Does all other duties assigned.
Qualifications / Basic Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED, plus six months of experience or appropriate training and one year of experience.
An individual is considered qualified upon notification by the PS or department head to the DHR that the employee has successfully completed the training and is qualified to perform the position. Notation of this notification is made in the employee’s training record.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and professional literature.
Ability to speak and read some English.
Ability to write routine reports and make daily reports that involve mathematical skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in either written, oral or diagram form.
