Consortium Professional Recruitment is pleased to be working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business in their search for a skilled Design Engineer to join their team in Hull.

This is a great opportunity for a technically minded engineer who enjoys solving problems, designing for manufacture, and working as part of a close-knit team. Based at their Hull site, you'll be involved in creating 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings, supporting production, and contributing to product improvements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience using Autodesk Inventor and a solid understanding of engineering materials and fabrication processes. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to R&D projects and help refine future product design.

Key Responsibilities

Create 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacture and assembly

Generate accurate BOMs based on customer specifications

Update drawings to reflect design improvements

Liaise with the production team and support during build

Support R&D and product improvement initiatives

Key Requirements

2–3 years' experience in a similar design role

Engineering qualifications (ideally mechanical)

Strong skills in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks and AutoCAD

Understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes

Salary & Benefits

£40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience

40-hour working week (Monday–Friday, days)

32 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
