Description Working as part of the ITS Back Office Technology team, the Office 365 Engineer position is responsible for designing, developing, and managing secure, scalable, highly available cloud solutions to drive business objectives. The engineer will play a critical role in the transition to a cloud‑first approach for Tower. The role requires strong partnership and collaboration with IT Architecture and other stakeholders to ensure business, technical, and security requirements are met.

The engineer should have a proven track record of building initial cloud presence and migrating services from on‑premises to cloud.

Responsibilities

Deliver subject matter expertise of Office 365 with emphasis on security, design, migration, governance and support.

Manage security services of Office 365, including Azure AD, Information Protection, Information Rights Management, SSO, MFA, and other related services.

Drive adoption and usage of Office 365 through training, documentation, and communities of practice.

Partner with IT Architecture to design and execute cloud adoption strategies that align with Tower objectives.

Contribute to development of governance practices that support cloud adoption strategies.

Design, coordinate, and execute cloud solution architectures meeting business needs.

Analyze and optimize technical and business processes related to cloud solutions.

Work with the AVP of Back Office Technologies and IT Architects to evaluate and update cloud adoption strategies and architectures.

Document and communicate strategies, decisions, and architectures effectively.

Produce documentation for ITS, Information Security, and business personnel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Office 365 migrations and governance.

Strong understanding of Azure AD, MFA, and SSO.

Proficiency in SharePoint, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 administration.

Knowledge of Microsoft technology and security best practices.

Experience Level Intermediate Level.

Pay and Benefits Pay range: $40.00 - $60.00/hour.

Workplace Type Hybrid position located in Laurel, MD.
