Position Overview The Facilities Associate plays a vital role in ensuring that the restaurants physical environment is clean, safe and fully operational. This position supports daily maintenance, repairs and upkeep of the building equipment and grounds. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented and proactive in addressing facility needs to maintain a high‑quality guest and team experience.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of restaurant equipment, furniture, lighting, HVAC, plumbing and general building conditions.

Complete light maintenance and repair work including painting, patching, plumbing fixes and minor electrical tasks.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage, maintenance and utility areas.

Support vendors and contractors during scheduled maintenance or emergency repairs.

Coordinate with management to prioritize and schedule maintenance work without interrupting operations.

Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Assist in setting up and breaking down restaurant areas for special events or deep cleaning projects.

Monitor and restock maintenance and cleaning supplies.

Respond promptly to facility‑related emergencies or service requests.

Maintain detailed logs of completed work, inspections and repair needs.

Qualifications

Previous experience in facility maintenance, building operations or a similar role (restaurant or hospitality experience preferred).

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.

Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing and standing for extended periods.

Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends or holidays as needed.

Commitment to maintaining a safe and positive work environment.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.

Familiarity with restaurant equipment (ice machines, dishwashers, grills, refrigeration units).

Basic computer skills for logging and reporting maintenance tasks.

OSHA or safety certification a plus.
