Lead structural design for DSA-regulated projects, including vertical and lateral load systems Produce and oversee structural drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT Conduct and review structural calculations and design criteria Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams Support or lead construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits Manage project quality, schedule, and scope Mentor junior staff and contribute to department standards and QA/QC processes Serve as Engineer-of-Record on structural-only projects (Level II) Qualifications
Licensure: Current registration as a Structural Engineer in California (required) Experience: Minimum 3-5 years (Level I) or 5-8 years (Level II) of experience as a licensed engineer Demonstrated experience with DSA projects in California's public education sector is required Education: Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Microsoft Office; strong understanding of CBC, IBC, ASCE 7, and DSA requirements; excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff; familiarity with project management software (Deltek Vantagepoint preferred) Compensation & Benefits
