JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB We are looking for a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join our fast‑moving, innovative cloud development team that sits at the core of Starkey’s product development roadmap. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and deploying cloud‑powered solutions for Starkey’s hardest data problems. In hiring for this role, we are looking for someone that can help use expand our capabilities by taking raw data from many different sources and transforming it into actionable insights for internal and external end users. You will touch data from a diverse ecosystem of software applications, from mobile applications to desktop software. Data‑driven product development is central to Starkey’s future roadmap and as such, this role will be an integral part of all product development efforts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS

Build and maintain data pipelines using Google Cloud (specific technology is flexible)

Architect highly reliable and scalable solutions while keeping in mind a balance of performance, cost, and data quality

Act as a subject‑matter expert on Starkey product data, interfacing with internal teams to build solutions that meet their data needs

Work with product managers and other engineering teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of a dynamic organization

Lead design discussions within a cross‑functional team

JOB REQUIREMENTS Experience

6‑8 years of software engineering experience

Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, transforming raw data into actionable insights

2‑3 years of experience with a major cloud service provider (i.e. Google Cloud, AWS, Azure)

Experience working within a software product development team

Demonstrated technical leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Typescript, .NET, and C#

Experience in dealing with topics related to cyber security, data privacy, etc.

Experience in cloud technologies in the context of a large enterprise

Salary and Other Compensation:

The target pay rate for this position is between $93,940 – $141,750 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.
