About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Project Engineer to participate in the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects. The ideal candidate will work with cross-functional teams, ensure alignment with business goals—both internally and for our clients—and drive project success through effective communication, technical insight, execution of tasks and leadership. As a member of the project team, In addition to your primary project responsibilities, you may be called upon to provide help desk support, assisting end users with technical issues and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and implementation of IT projects, defining scope, goals, and deliverables.

Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for seamless project execution.

Develop detailed project plans, contributing to progress, and adjusting timelines as needed.

Communicate project budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.

Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Foster a collaborative team environment and provide leadership and motivation.

Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for improvement.

Create standard hardware recommendations for clients.

Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

Log and track support tickets using the organization’s ticketing system.

Provide guidance and training to users on common IT tools and systems.

Technical Skills Required / Preferred

Windows:

Setup of Windows Servers in ESXi and Hyper-V

RDS Server/Cluster Configuration

iLo/iDrac Setup and Configuration

Designing and Implementing network solutions (LAN, WAN, wireless, etc.).

Configuring and Supporting Firewalls and Security Measures.

Managing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, O365, etc.).

Troubleshooting technical issues and providing on-site support when needed.

Ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

Linux:

Creating Linux VMs in AWS and ESXi

Backups:

Veeam Backup Environment Setup

Cloud Connections for Veeam

Network Equipment:

Configuration of SonicWall, FortiGate, and Sophos Firewalls

Wireless Setup with Ubiquity and Meraki

Switch Configuration and Implementation

VPN Tunnel and SSLVPN Setup

Cloud:

Familiarity with AWS and Azure

Experience with GCC or GCC High 365 clients

SharePoint Cloud Implementation

Security:

Vulnerability Remediation for Servers and Networking Equipment

KnowBe4 Campaign Setup for Clients

Preferred Skills:

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Experience managing cross-functional and remote teams

Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting

Qualifications

Proven experience as a IT Project Engineer, Project Lead, or similar role

Strong understanding of project management methodologies

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills

Familiarity with ConnectWise Control, Automate, PSA

Proficiency with Office 365 Suite

A+ and Network+ certifications
