Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Job overview Join our Salt Lake City team as a VDC/BIM Engineer, where you’ll leverage advanced 3D modeling technology to support electrical construction projects. This full‑time role involves creating and managing detailed models of electrical systems, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring precision in drawings and documentation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, technology‑driven environment with a supportive, family‑owned company.

What you’ll do

Operate Autodesk Revit to model electrical systems, including electrical equipment, conduit raceways, cable trays, and assemblies.

Create shop drawings, install sheets, and prefab build sheets according to department standards.

Assist in generating material take‑offs from models as required.

Collaborate with project leads and project managers to review and finalize drawing submissions.

Participate in internal coordination meetings to align on project requirements.

Coordinate with project teams to resolve model and drawing issues.

Visit project sites as needed to ensure drawing accuracy based on site conditions.

Maintain and coordinate project record (as‑built) drawings for submission upon project completion.

Produce additional documentation in formats such as DWG, RVT, PDF, and NWC.

What you’ll bring

Proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with AutoCAD and Navisworks is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and understanding of standard drafting procedures and processes.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing electrical plans, blueprints, and drawings.

Familiarity with electrical equipment, materials, and specifications.

Self‑motivated mindset with strong initiative and leadership abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.

Adaptability to handle design and coordination changes.

Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
