Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate with a strong background in molecular biology to support both research and development and production projects. This position will perform a variety of laboratory experiments focused on DNA analysis, molecular biology techniques, and nucleic acid characterization to advance our product pipelines and ensure quality, reproducibility, and innovation in molecular workflows.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and characterize nucleic acid samples using molecular biology protocols and instrumentation, including extraction, purification, amplification, and quantification by PCR/qPCR, sequencing-based and electrophoresis-based analyses.
Manage laboratory databases, sample inventory, reagents, solutions, equipment, and maintain accurate electronic records and detailed laboratory notebooks.
Ensure laboratory quality control, compliance with safety protocols, and follow good documentation practices (GDP) and quality standards.
Support analytical method development and nucleic acid characterization for research and production; troubleshoot experimental issues and improve assay performance.
Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports; contribute to data interpretation and presentation in internal meetings.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with scientists, engineers, and production teams to transfer methods and support ongoing projects.
Required Skills / Capabilities
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or Master's Degree (M.S.) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biology, or a related life sciences field.
Hands‑on experience with DNA amplification, DNA extraction, and analysis techniques.
Knowledge of DNA sequencing analysis and nucleic acid characterization methods (e.g., PCR, electrophoresis, cloning, sequencing).
Familiarity with laboratory information systems and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Prism, BLAST).
0–5 years of laboratory experience in molecular biology or genetics research.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed experimental protocols.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate experimental records and documentation.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills for troubleshooting experimental procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work independently under general supervision and in a collaborative environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to learn new experimental techniques and instrumentation quickly.

The base salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $90,000 per year. In addition, this position is also eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results.
