Job Summary
The
Neuroscience RN FT 7a
is a full‑time registered nurse responsible for supervising nursing personnel during shifts, weekends, and holidays. The RN will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement patient care, collaborating with physicians and other clinicians to ensure quality and continuity of care.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel on shift, ensuring quality patient care.
Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment, planning, and intervention.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in patient care planning and implementation.
Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Assist in staff training and development as needed.
Qualifications
Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Active RN licensure required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending on assigned area.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Capability to observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection control standards.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Position requires sitting for approximately 20% of the workday and mobility for the remaining 80%. The RN may need to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive hand actions. Lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds occasionally is required. The RN must maintain clear diction in conversation, have adequate hearing sensitivity, and maintain good visual acuity at close and distant ranges. Exposure to computer work, risk of electrical shock, hazardous chemicals, and radiation is possible. The work environment is indoors and may experience temperature changes but minimal noise levels are maintained.
