Summer Student - Investment Risk Management
Join Voya Investment Management as a Summer Student in the Investment Risk Management team. This role offers hands‑on experience in risk management practices while supporting projects and day‑to‑day activities across our firm.
Getting To Know The Opportunity The summer student will assist the Investment Risk Management team with various projects and day‑to‑day tasks, meet business partners across the firm, and attend risk meetings to develop a solid understanding of risk management best practices at Voya and across the industry.
The Contributions You'll Make
Regular or biweekly meetings with key members of the Risk team to learn about the Risk function and how we interact with the business.
Help with Mutual Fund board reporting and related analysis and write‑ups.
Data visualization support.
Analysis of Fixed Income, Equity and Multi‑Asset portfolio performance trends and market research.
Enhancements to Mutual Fund Board Reports.
Data collection and analysis across various asset classes.
Support for Investment Risk Policies edits.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Functional knowledge of investments and financial markets.
Strong analytical, written and communication skills.
Self‑motivated and able to collaborate with multiple individuals on the risk team.
Good technical foundation in databases and programming languages.
Compensation Pay Disclosure Voya is committed to pay that is fair and equitable. The annual base salary range for this position is $23.00 per hour (annualized approximately $47,840 – $55,360 for a 40‑hour work week). In addition to base salary, the role includes incentive opportunities such as annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and long‑term incentives based on performance.
