MECHANICAL ENGINEER IV role at City and County of Honolulu. Responsibilities

Perform design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems as assigned. Review and analyze plans and specifications for mechanical engineering features and code compliance. Contribute to projects and provide technical guidance. Minimum Qualification Requirements

At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment. Education Requirement

Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty. Education obtained outside the United States must be comparable to a degree earned in the U.S. A foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. The Department reserves the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript. Verification

Experience Requirement

Three years of non-registered professional mechanical engineering experience. License Requirement

Possession of a valid license as a professional mechanical engineer in the State of Hawaii. Applicants with a current out-of-state P.E. license must obtain Hawaii license prior to appointment. Examination Process
