Mechanical Project Engineer – Denver, CO. IMEG is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer – 1 in Denver, CO, specializing in the hospitality, resort and condo markets or equivalent specialization in multi-family housing. The role leads design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for low to moderate-complexity projects, primarily within the hospitality, resort and condo markets. They will work with peer engineers to provide engineering solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes, interact directly with clients, and ensure client deadlines and standards are met. Responsibilities

Lead the analysis and design efforts of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards. Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; build and maintain client relationships through professional communication. Work as part of a project team to support the execution of fast-paced consulting projects within the commercial interiors and tenant improvement market. Lead efforts in project planning, scheduling tasks, and managing multiple projects at once to meet deadlines and objectives. Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring project design progress to ensure deadlines are met. Analyze engineering problems and propose innovative solutions; collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions. Proficient in renovation projects to include evaluation and reuse of existing mechanical systems. Provide in-process design reviews of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design, calculations, and specifications. Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering. Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work. Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with mechanical systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals. Identify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager. Oversee projects through construction administration phase and provide clients with solution-based communication. Required Skills/Abilities

Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications. Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems. Proficient with industry standard engineering software and tools including HVAC load calculation software. Proficiency in the use of Revit Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. Ability to think, work, and make design decisions quickly to meet fast-paced deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of development and design. Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written forms. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Eagerness to adapt to new challenges. Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays. Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required. Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred. 4 years of experience minimum required, 6 preferred, in the building design consulting industry with demonstrated experience in the hospitality, resort, and condo markets or equivalent specialization in multi-family housing. This position is not eligible for sponsorship. This position is based in our Greenwood Village office, part of the greater Denver metro area. Salary Range: $92,000 - $123,000. Individual pay will be based on factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
