Job Details Compensation:

The hourly base pay range for this position is $13 per hour plus tips. Compensation is based on the candidate’s skills, experience, education or training, and location.

Summary The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. The role includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage, and providing information about facilities and local attractions.

Essential Functions

Maintains pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor. (25%)

Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location. Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette. Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks. (10%)

Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. (20%)

Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries. Provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, and/or amenities. (10%)

Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival, issues claim checks after receiving keys, and consistently completes ticket information. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed. (35%)

Qualifications Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Licensure, Certification, Etc.

Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from that state.

Work Experience

One (1) month related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Knowledge

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

Skills

Ability to read and write standard English language.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees.

Ability to add and subtract three‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

Ability to understand 24‑hour and military time systems.

Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed.

Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.

Perform parallel parking.

Scope

Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is verified frequently. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Lifting Requirements Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Working Environment The majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods, including up to the entire duration of the shift. Employees are subject to extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Travel Travel of up to 5% may be required.
