The Credit Analyst plays a critical role within the commercial banking team, providing thorough financial analysis and underwriting support for commercial and commercial real estate loans. This individual partners closely with lenders, senior management, and credit administration to evaluate risk, structure sound loan requests, and maintain a high-quality loan portfolio.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys financial problem-solving, values precision, and wants to contribute to the success of business customers and the community.

Responsibilities

Analyze financial statements and cash flows to determine borrower strength and repayment ability

Prepare detailed credit presentations and loan approval packages for commercial and CRE requests

Evaluate collateral and real estate values to support credit decisions

Monitor existing relationships and identify potential credit risks or problem loans

Conduct periodic loan reviews and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards

Maintain current knowledge of loan documentation, financial covenants, and portfolio management requirements

Collaborate with relationship managers to support customers with timely and accurate credit analysis

Provide proactive recommendations for portfolio management and risk mitigation

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis or commercial real estate lending within a bank

Strong analytical and underwriting skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data

Solid understanding of loan documentation, compliance, and regulatory requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
