Trusts and Estates / Wealth Planning Attorney
A leading legal practice is seeking an accomplished Partner-Level Trusts and Estates Attorney to support its thriving Wealth Planning group. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical excellence in sophisticated estate, gift, and tax planning strategies, as well as a strong record of advising high-net-worth individuals and multinational families on complex personal and business planning matters.
Base pay range $169,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on comprehensive domestic and international estate planning strategies, including wealth transfer structures, generational planning, and asset protection techniques.
Provide guidance on income, partnership, and corporate tax matters associated with estate and business succession planning.
Structure and implement advanced planning arrangements such as GRATs, IDGTs, CLTs, QPRTs, family limited partnerships, and complex trust vehicles.
Advise multinational families regarding cross-border tax planning, expatriation issues, treaty analysis, and global asset reporting compliance.
Prepare and review estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, operating agreements, and related instruments.
Counsel fiduciaries on trust and estate administration matters, tax filings, and dispute resolution.
Cultivate and enhance client relationships, contributing to practice growth and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Minimum of six years of focused trusts and estates, wealth planning, and tax planning experience, preferably within a sophisticated private client practice.
LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning strongly preferred.
Admission in good standing to a U.S. state bar.
Demonstrated capability advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and closely held business owners.
Exceptional drafting, research, and communication skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
Florida Bar admission preferred or willingness to obtain admission.
Spanish language skills preferred.
