Business Partner, Partner Resources (HR) – Starbucks Reserve® & Roastery – New York Roastery
Base pay range: $92,500.00/yr – $138,800.00/yr
As a Business Partner, Partner Resources (HR), you will support the team at the iconic New York Roastery. You will work with onsite leadership to consult and collaborate on partner‑related matters unique to this large location and partner populations. You will consult on Partner Relations matters, build capabilities with local leadership teams, enable talent effectiveness and support in the implementation of PRO programs and priorities.
Influence
– Partners with the local leadership team to shape a partner engagement strategy and build capabilities around talent planning, navigating partner concerns, and applicable company policies and local employment laws.
Serve as an advocate
– Listen to our partners and take an active role in resolving roadblocks or investigating workplace concerns with a growth mindset. Acts as a subject matter expert and builds partner capability around Starbucks benefits and other Partner Resources programs.
Collaborate
– Close collaboration with peers, PRO business partners and other Partner Resources Centers of Excellence for guidance to ensure consistent and equitable application of Starbucks policies, procedures, standards.
Facilitate
– Talent programs and discussions to elevate the capability of partners within the location.
Support
– May participate in projects to improve the partner experience and/or drive efficiency that impact other locations within the Reserve & Roastery ecosystem. May lead one or more work streams of a related project.
Qualifications
4 years of Human Resources generalist or related operations experience with an emphasis on employee relations, including coaching/performance management, consultation and performance development.
1 year of consulting with internal clients to identify business needs and recommend solutions.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources management.
Knowledge of local, federal, and state employment laws and regulations.
Ability to apply consultative skills in a business environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to prioritize multiple demands effectively based on business needs.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced and changing environment.
Ability to adapt and operate as an optimistic change agent.
Location Based five days per week at the New York Roastery in Chelsea, Manhattan. You may also work at the regional office located at the Empire State Building. Flexibility to be available at varying day parts including occasionally at weekends and evenings is required.
