Assembly Technician, Manufacturing / Production
Location: Palo Alto, CA (on‑site)
About 1X We build humanoid robots that work alongside people to solve labor shortages and create abundance.
Role Summary Assemble precision mechanical components and subassemblies to bring humanoid robots to life. This hands‑on role ensures quality and accuracy while supporting production goals in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical parts, subassemblies, and structures using hand and power tools.
Follow work instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly diagrams.
Install hardware such as fasteners, bearings, shafts, and linkages.
Use measuring tools (calipers, torque wrenches, gauges) to verify fit and alignment.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections for quality assurance.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow safety and ESD procedures.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Report defects, delays, or issues to leads or quality staff.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing.
Ability to read and follow assembly drawings and written instructions.
Skilled with hand tools and basic measuring instruments.
Comfortable with repetitive, detailed work and handling small parts.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical, hands‑on tasks.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $22–$60 per hour
