The Boeing Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) program area is developing new efforts for the Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC‑3) RF seeker and is looking for an experienced Radar Seeker System Engineer, Senior, Lead, or Principal, to support these efforts at the Boeing Jetplex facility.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead critical technical development efforts as a senior subject matter expert on RF theory, digital signal processing, and radar concepts.
Develop algorithms for radar signal processing techniques such as Kalman filtering, probabilistic and statistical modeling, and measurement processing from pulsed‑Doppler waveforms.
Design algorithms that process signal returns into discriminated targets and track targets through the mission timeline.
Define system performance requirements and ensure interface definition supports the seeker’s and missile’s architecture.
Conduct analysis to optimize system‑of‑systems performance or architecture as applied to algorithmic functionality for acquisition and tracking of targets.
Analyze seeker simulation data to identify improvement areas and guide recommendations for system robustness in challenging operational environments.
Analyze algorithm performance with a focus on survivability, vulnerability, and susceptibility to ensure mission success.
Review and modify the application of digital signal processing techniques to the processing of reradiated signal content to ensure accurate signal characteristic identification.
Mentor early‑career engineers and inexperienced DSP/algorithm engineers through regular knowledge transfer.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Senior Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
Lead Level 5: 14+ years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
Principal, Level 6: 20+ years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
U.S. Active Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
5+ years of experience with radar systems analysis or design.
5+ years of experience in Digital Signal Processing or Digital Communications algorithms and techniques.
Experience in digital signal processing theory and application of fundamental DSP techniques.
Experience with MATLAB for data analysis, modeling, and simulation.
Experience in pulse Doppler radar system architectures and design/test practices.
Experience working with operating radar systems and Electronic Warfare designs and testing.
Knowledge of linear signal theory, Fourier transforms, and communication theory.
Experience in RF, electrical transmission, signal processing, and modeling in MATLAB.
System test experience including test design, implementation, and execution for hardware platforms.
Experience in a fast‑paced, independent R&D environment.
Familiarity with C++, ADA, Python, and other programming languages in an Agile environment.
Experience in formal technical writing (e.g., whitepapers, tech notes, technical journals, research reports).
Experience in Technology Readiness Level (TRL) maturation of novel technologies and concepts.
Additional Details This position is expected to be 100% onsite at the listed location. The worksite follows Boeing’s 4/10 schedule (10‑hour shifts, Monday‑Thursday 6 AM–4:30 PM, Friday off).

Pay ranges: Senior Level 4 – $119,850 to $162,150; Lead Level 5 – $147,050 to $198,950; Principal Level 6 – $174,250 to $235,750.
