Job Responsibilities Support production environment and keep Charles Schwab's shared environments available for customers. Partner within the Support organizations to build and rollout plans for enhanced telemetry and reduce defects for software delivery to multiple lower environments. Triage alerts and diagnose/resolve critical issues, including handling implementation of changes. Complete real-time troubleshooting of critical application workflows and incorporate feedback into product development. Participate in hands‑on enterprise systems administration, monitoring, and deployment activities. Find opportunities to build innovative tools and solve operations problems by building automation on a large enterprise and critical applications. Build scripts to automate operational tasks and incorporate the solutions into infrastructure. Coordinate and collaborate with release management relating to infrastructure and other critical changes. Develop and support automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, configure, test, and monitor their applications. Create and review documentation and processes regarding recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc. Collaborate with Engineering, Scrum and Ops resources to provide technical expertise and support on key initiatives for system availability and reliability. Review programming and environment changes and raise awareness for potential impacts. Participate in on‑call and after‑hours support.
Job Requirements Master’s in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 36 months of experience in a related occupation. Experience must include 36 months involving the following: Design hosting platform architecture and deploy applications to Private and Public cloud platforms like PCF and AWS or GCP, including compute, storage, networking, and IAM; Networking and Active Directory: Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, VPNs, Load Balancers; DevOps Automation: Application Build and deployment pipelines using Git, managing infrastructure as code; Telemetry: Design and implement application and infrastructure monitoring with AppDynamics, Grafana, and Splunk; Install, configure, and administer Windows Server, with various roles and features including AD, DS, DNS, DHCP, FTP, WSUS, IIS, and Web server; Design, Analysis, and Development for n‑tier applications including Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology.
