RN / Assistant Nurse Manager - Digestive Health Clinic Join the University of Washington as an Assistant Nurse Manager for our newly-expanded Digestive Health and Nephrology Clinic. This supervisory position reports to the Clinic Director and leads day‑to‑day clinic operations.

$10,000 Sign‑On Bonus

is available to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine.

WORK SCHEDULE

5x8 shift schedule

Monday‑Friday only

Day shifts between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm; the exact hours may vary each week

The clinic is located at the Outpatient Medical Center in North Seattle

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The clinic provides procedural and consultative services for digestive and kidney disorders.

Comprehensive evaluations are offered for abdominal pain, nausea, inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal motility, and functional bowel disorders.

Onsite endoscopic procedures—including upper endoscopies and colonoscopies—are performed in the clinic.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishes and maintains credibility as the leader of day-to-day clinic operations.

Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps toward resolution.

Provides feedback to the Clinic Director for annual performance evaluations.

Schedules staff work hours.

Resolves unplanned absences following Ambulatory Services Resource Pool Protocols.

Develops, coordinates, and maintains work processes to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Establishes and maintains safety and emergency protocols for the clinic.

Interviews Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants.

Manages orientation and educational programs for newly‑hired staff.

Promotes effective communication among staff and patients.

Performs general clinic RN responsibilities when needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 years of recent medical‑surgical or procedural nursing experience.

Previous charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experience.

Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State.

BLS certification.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & POSITION DETAILS Pay Range: $49.23 – $90.33 per hour.

Other Compensation:

$10,000 Sign‑On Bonus , BSN (or higher) premium, Certification premium, Overtime pay.

FTE: 100.00% (Regular position).

Shift: First Shift (United States of America).
