FP&A Manager

Position Summary The FP&A Manager is responsible for providing financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support the strategic and operational goals of the Rotating Equipment Group. This role partners closely with corporate finance, operations, sales, and supply chain leadership to deliver insights that drive profitability, efficiency, and growth. The ideal candidate will have previous FP&A experience, strong analytical acumen, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long‑range financial planning for the Rotating Equipment Group.
Analyze financial results and key performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Partner with operations and project managers to track job costs, backlog performance, and gross margin variance across repair, fabrication, and field service lines.
Support pricing strategy and bid reviews to ensure alignment with financial targets and cost recovery.
Develop and maintain financial models for capital investment, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
Prepare management reports and presentations summarizing performance, variance drivers, and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with accounting on month‑end close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, forecasting accuracy, and data integrity.
Monitor working‑capital metrics and cash‑flow performance.
Provide ad‑hoc analysis to support Sales, Service, and Operations leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA/CMA preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, manufacturing, or industrial services.
Preferred experience within rotating equipment, industrial machinery, or heavy service environments.
Strong understanding of cost accounting, job costing, and manufacturing performance metrics.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel/Power BI modeling.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non‑financial audiences.
High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
