Senior Systems Analyst

Summary Oversees IT and business projects for the PAB division from start to finish within logistics systems. Manages and coordinates all phases of a project—including formation, requirements definition, software selection, development, testing, implementation, and post‑implementation support. Responsible for coordination, communication, and change management with stakeholders at all levels. Will manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain and facilitate the use of project management best practices for the PAB IT team.
The salary range for this position is $97,000 – $145,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, with an annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist teams comprising business associates, technical staff, and consultants to develop effective, efficient solutions that meet the business’s requirements, utilizing project management skills for logistics applications.
Complete system configuration and testing to meet the design criteria for strategic projects in respective areas.
Understand and evaluate business requirements to hypothesize business solutions.
Collaborate with other technical teams on solutions, enhancements, reporting requirements and testing procedures.
Support Perdue AgriBusiness applications, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for all ship modes (truck, rail, barge, vessel, container).
Work with the IT Application Manager to implement and facilitate project management best practices for the PAB IT team, including effective use of PM software, the stage‑gate process, project prioritization, etc.
Manage structured database systems using SQL‑based technologies.
Analyze project data, develop reports, and manage project databases and documentation.
Maintain high productivity and quality work in a fast‑paced environment.
Manage and complete projects and tasks on time, with little supervision.
Define project timelines and use appropriate tools for project scheduling and tracking.
Maximize use of available technology to enhance and improve business processes.
Define project resource requirements and secure resources.
Build effective working relationships within Application Systems, other IT areas, consulting teams, and the business community.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or computer‑related major or equivalent work experience.
Experience Requirements
5 years of experience with project management, business process reengineering, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
1 year of experience with commodity logistics (Princeton TMX, Bourque and/or Blue Yonder or similar TMS solutions).
Manage multiple projects with full‑cycle implementations in a senior‑level role.
Working knowledge of process flow tools to map business processes.
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including creation of Excel spreadsheets.
Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and coordinate projects.
Experience Preferred
Experience with ERP and/or CTRM software.
Experience with PowerBI, Snowflake, Dataiku.
Intermediate level SQL or other languages.
Environmental Factors And Physical Requirements
This position will be based out of the Perdue AgriBusiness office at Salisbury, MD.
Rotating weekly on‑call to cover off hours and weekends.
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Work activity is in an office, open‑partitioned, cubicle environment with frequent use of computer workstation.
Some minor overnight travel, including travel to other company sites and/or conferences to support strategic projects.
When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
