About the Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager focused on Rebate Management Services to grow one of Energy5’s fastest-developing business lines.
This role will focus on selling Energy5’s rebate management solutions— helping clients, contractors, and industry partners capture federal, state, and utility incentives for clean energy installations such as EV charging stations, solar, and battery storage systems.
Energy5’s rebate management offering is available to any organization in the industry—including competitors—providing expert navigation through complex funding and incentive programs.
We have developed expertise in navigating rebate processes and guiding our own projects through the complexities of securing funding. Now, we aim to expand this expertise to other partners, advancing the entire industry while creating a new revenue stream here at Energy5.
The ideal candidate is a proactive deal‑maker who understands how to build relationships, identify rebate opportunities, and close service contracts. This role blends sales, partnership development, and consultative client engagement within the clean energy and infrastructure space.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, prospect, and close new clients interested in rebate management and incentive services.
Develop and maintain relationships with EPC firms, installers, developers, and site owners.
Present Energy5’s rebate management capabilities and value proposition to potential clients.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of available federal, state, and utility incentive programs across the U.S.
Collaborate with internal rebate and grant specialists to ensure successful project execution.
Track all sales activities and pipeline progress in the CRM system.
Meet and exceed sales targets for rebate management services.
Support the growth of related business areas such as EPC partnerships and grant consulting.
Required Experience
4+ years of experience in a Business Development or Sales role.
Proven ability to close new business and build long‑term strategic relationships.
Hands‑on experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Preferred Experience
Knowledge of rebate, grant, or incentive programs in the clean energy sector.
Experience working with utilities, government agencies, or incentive programs.
Familiarity with EV charging, solar, or battery storage markets.
Strong understanding of the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) ecosystem.
$55,000 - $70,000 starting salary based on experience.
Commission
Tiered, up to 10% of Energy5 revenue from BD efforts.
Location
In office, Moorestown NJ HQ.
