Responsibilities How you can make an impact:

Project leadership: Leads the project team, establishes the project execution approach and oversees project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.

Coaches and provides performance feedback for project staff.

Instructions and guidelines: Contributes to the continuous improvement of policies and work instructions; leads project reviews for large projects and Organizational Project Management (PMO) reviews/assessments and conducts competency assessments for the project execution teams.

Actively seeks internal improvement opportunities and external project management practices relevant to EPE and influences the organization to continuously improve project execution.

Participates in internal and external expert groups, e.g. project management councils and other forums.

Project Recovery: Leads project recovery efforts, i.e. the rapid assessment of troubled projects and their turnaround.

Budget, sales and operations planning: Participates in budgeting with Management and in Sales and Operations Planning with Management and Sales/Business Development; helps close potential gaps in project execution capacity.

Project execution and control: Ensures projects follow execution best practices and EPE policies; monitors progress, controls costs and cash flow, and captures lessons learned.

Manages project risks and ensures opportunities are identified and pursued; drives formal project closure and customer acceptance.

Planning and scheduling: Ensures planning activities (scope, financial plans, schedules, risk management) are performed properly by the project team.

Contract, claims and procurement management: Applies contract and claims management per EPE policies; ensures procurement activities are performed for services, materials and equipment.

Stakeholder relations: Acts as key contact for the customer and escalation point; maintains relationships and communicates effectively with stakeholders.

Health, safety and environment (HSE): Ensures the project follows company HSE policies.

People leadership and development: Develops project execution staff through mentoring and coaching.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited program.

Minimum five years of related experience in managing Turnkey EPC Electrification/Generation projects.

PMP certification.

Experience in leading EPC projects: HVDC, interconnection substation projects, Transmission & Distribution, Renewable energy generation (Solar, Wind), Battery storage systems.

Proven ability to develop business and establish relationships with clients; identify opportunities and lead proposal pursuits.

Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to apply knowledge to broad areas of assignments.

Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Previous consulting experience preferred but not required.
