Job Description
MTSI is seeking a Junior Software developer to join a high-performing team supporting a DoD program developing software to simulate and evaluate the effectiveness of various weapon systems against potential threats. Required Skills B.S. in computer science or software engineering required. US Citizenship and a secret-level security clearance required. 2+ years of software engineering/development experience, including recent experience in agile environments. Proficiency in one or more high-level object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C++, Java). Interest and knowledge of modeling and simulation concepts (discrete-event, stochastic variables, Monte Carlo analysis, etc.). Ability to work well in a team environment and interact with data suppliers and customers. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet timelines. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to explain complex technical issues and provide comprehensive results and analysis. Strong analytical skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment where multiple projects may require simultaneous participation.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with a simulation framework or environment highly desired. Full understanding and experience developing software using the complete software development lifecycle. Knowledge of source code configuration and corresponding tools.
