We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our Dearborn office. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, as the manager will oversee a team of engineers while actively contributing to project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the electrical engineering staff in the Dearborn office.

Oversee performance management, team development, and process improvements to ensure a high‑performing and efficient team.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and innovation.

Facilitate effective communication and provide ongoing support through one‑on‑one check‑ins to align priorities and address challenges.

Project Execution and Technical Contribution

Actively participate in the design, development, and implementation of electrical engineering projects.

Provide technical expertise and oversight on key projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and adherence to timelines.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet client and organizational needs.

Serve as a technical advisor and problem solver for complex engineering challenges.

Operational Oversight

Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Dearborn office, ensuring efficient workflows and resource allocation.

Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and streamline engineering processes.

Monitor budgets, schedules, and project deliverables to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Represent the Dearborn office in meetings, presentations, and discussions related to engineering projects.

Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high‑quality solutions and maintaining open lines of communication.

Compliance and Standards

Ensure all engineering work adheres to industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Stay up‑to‑date with advancements in electrical engineering and integrate best practices into team operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

A minimum of 7‑10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Proven track record of successfully managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects.

Strong technical expertise in electrical systems design, analysis, and implementation.

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to balance managerial responsibilities with hands‑on project involvement.

Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the field.

Work Environment This position is based in Dearborn, MI, and requires on‑site presence to manage office operations and collaborate with the team effectively. Ghafari’s current policy for managers requires four days in the office and allows one remote workday per week. Occasional travel may be required for project‑related activities or client meetings.

Compensation $160,000 – $180,000 annually
