What this job involves:

As a Facilities Engineering Coordinator, you will serve as a vital operational support role ensuring the reliability and administrative management of facilities across office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments. This position combines basic technical oversight with strong coordination skills as you monitor building systems, manage vendor relationships, and maintain compliance standards. You will act as the communication bridge between clients, internal teams, and external service providers while supporting preventive maintenance programs and ensuring facilities remain operational, safe, and compliant. This role offers an opportunity to develop technical facilities knowledge while contributing to JLL\'s operational excellence through effective vendor coordination and administrative support.

Responsibilities

Monitor building systems operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems, identifying issues and escalating to appropriate internal technicians or external vendors with clear, accurate symptom descriptions

Serve as the primary point of contact for external service providers, scheduling and tracking vendor work to ensure timely issue resolution and completion of service-level agreements

Manage work orders and service requests in CMMS (Corrigo preferred), ensuring accurate documentation, coding, and reporting while maintaining equipment logs and maintenance schedules

Coordinate preventive maintenance programs, inspections, and follow-ups with vendors and contractors to maintain operational reliability and safety standards

Act as liaison between clients, internal teams, and vendors, providing regular updates on maintenance activities, facility status, and issue resolution timelines

Support compliance activities with OSHA, NFPA, and local codes while assisting with invoice review, quotes, and proposals to maintain administrative accuracy

Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics to identify trends or recurring issues, supporting the Facilities Manager in small projects and operational improvement initiatives

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or technical degree preferred).

1–3 years of experience in facilities operations, building management, or related technical environment.

Basic understanding of building systems sufficient to identify issues and communicate with vendors.

Experience with CMMS (Corrigo preferred).

Familiarity with safety, compliance, and regulatory standards.

Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain operational continuity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Entry-level technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety).

Ability to observe, identify, and describe technical issues accurately to vendors or internal technicians.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, CMMS, and basic administrative processes.

Familiarity with safety and compliance requirements (OSHA, NFPA, local codes).

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
