Join EY as an Azure Cloud Platform Engineer - GPS. This remote role is performed within the Continental United States and focuses on delivery of solutions and infrastructure development tasks for large and complex cloud projects.

The opportunity You will design, automate, and deploy secure Azure cloud environments, work closely with product managers, and support junior engineers. You will bridge organizations to evolve cloud capabilities in Azure Gov, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and reduce technical debt.

Your Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Bicep and ARM templates.

Engineer, automate, and deploy platform solutions for both infrastructure and applications.

Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Server, GIT, Helm, and Ansible.

Package and deploy containerized applications (Kubernetes, ACA, Docker, Helm).

Develop and manage base container images, including hardened OS images (DISA STIG).

Apply DevSecOps methodologies, standards, and best practices.

Research and troubleshoot day‑to‑day issues independently.

Apply modern development standards and security principles.

Ensure quality through manual and automated controls.

Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions throughout the lifecycle.

Develop impactful plans and roadmaps balancing tactical and strategic needs.

Skills And Attributes For Success

Experience with Azure Kubernetes Services and other PaaS services.

Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, and Ansible.

Strong knowledge of Azure Policies, Azure Gov networking, and RBAC.

Advanced Linux and Windows server administration (Group Policy).

Experience with claim‑based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC).

Delivery using SAFe Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.

Full‑stack development knowledge and strong security controls.

Automation mindset with a focus on efficiency.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent work experience.

5+ years in an engineering role using cloud infrastructure platforms.

Top Secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain it.

Proficiency in PowerShell and SQL.

Experience with CI/CD and IaC tools (Bicep, Azure DevOps, ARM, Ansible).

Experience with Azure AD/Entra and hardened OS images (DISA STIG).

Understanding of NIST controls and government security frameworks.

Containerization experience (Kubernetes, ACA, Docker).

Strong communication skills in English.

Demonstrated engineering and automation expertise in cloud delivery.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience with source control (Git).

Azure DevOps Pipeline expertise.

Agile methodology familiarity.

Knowledge of Ansible/Bicep and Azure Policy.

Understanding of Azure multi‑tenant architecture.

Certifications

AZ104, AZ400, AZ500, AZ700

CKS, CKA, CKAD

Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation
