Base Salary Range: $123,300 - $197,300 Hybrid: 1 day in office, 4 days remote WEBB's Traffic and Transportation Team develops transportation solutions for many of the region's cities and counties. The Team primarily works on roadway improvements for public agencies and private developments. These projects include the design of new roads, roadway widening, active transportation improvements, complete streets, roundabouts, parking lots, freeway interchanges, and minor drainage facilities. Project construction costs generally range from $500,000 to $30 million. The Teams works closely with WEBB's in-house planning, surveying, engineering, and construction management teams to provide a full-service experience for clients. This role also includes direct client interaction, project management responsibilities, proposal preparation, and business development.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects.

Coordination of major projects through design completion, demonstrating creativity, foresight, and technical judgment.

Assure that engineering services are commensurate with professional standards, client requirements, budget control scheduling, cost engineering/control, quality control, and project objectives.

Interact with clients and participate in technical project design meetings.

Provide leadership to the design team for various tasks within the scope of a project, including training and supervising junior staff.

Coordinate with other design disciplines, including structures, hydraulics/drainage, stormwater, traffic, electrical, utilities, right of way, and environmental.

Prepare roadway designs, including planning documents and PS&E

Coordinate with internal disciplines within WEBB

Coordinate workload and schedule throughout entire project development and ensure completion of documents on schedule and within budget.

Perform quality assurance checks for projects.

Requirements

8+ years of experience

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program

Registered California Civil Engineer (P.E.)

Experience on projects with Caltrans and/or FHWA oversight

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong computer skills, including AutoCAD Civil 3D experience

Experience should include urban and rural roadway design, intersection design, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layouts, and roadway drainage

Knowledge and understanding of Caltrans Highway Design Manual and Standards, AASHTO Highway Design Guide, California MUTCD, Greenbook / APWA standards, and other related standards
