Overview The Growth and Market Strategy team develops pragmatic, customer‑centric GTM strategies that respond to changing market dynamics and drive sustainable, profitable growth. We harness data‑driven insights to uncover opportunities and continually optimize our sales process, empowering GTM teams to build rich customer experiences and increase market share.
We are seeking a Principal Strategist to develop our post‑sales strategy. Using qualitative and quantitative methods, this role will evaluate opportunities and design initiatives that fuel P&L growth from adoption, engagement, and retention of our suite of enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop actionable GTM strategies from ideation to design, including market due diligence, relevant frameworks, and scalable options to achieve fiscal year goals.
Analyze complex information using qualitative and quantitative methods to inform and drive GTM strategy and meet or exceed revenue targets.
Proactively identify opportunities and champion novel approaches, willing to test and iterate new ideas to solve complex problems.
Conduct high‑level analysis and deep dives to uncover insights, perform financial and market analysis, and synthesize recommendations for executive leadership.
Lead multi‑layered stakeholder management with significant cross‑functional engagement.
Communicate effectively across all levels, from front lines to C‑suite, to influence decisions and secure cross‑functional support.
Build trust and relationships across the organization to marshal resources needed to accomplish goals.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience combining general management, corporate development, management consulting, corporate strategy, or business development.
Strong track record of delivering quantifiable business impact through adoption, retention, and engagement strategies.
Proficiency in navigating P&L, business metrics, financial statements, pricing structures, monetization, and churn mitigation strategies.
Expertise breaking down problems, diagnosing root causes, and creating realistic, executable solutions.
Exceptional critical and creative thinking skills, including evaluating risks, building structure in ambiguity, and flexibility to pivot.
Deep analytical and data visualization skills with the ability to extract salient insights from complex data.
Ability to work quickly in a fast‑paced environment, transitioning from high‑level concepts to detailed analysis.
Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, effectively influencing at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, taking ownership of challenges and setting a high standard for deliverables.
Compensation At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable and competitive compensation programs. Base pay ranges for new hires are: Zone A: $178,200 – $232,650 Zone B: $161,100 – $210,325 Zone C: $148,500 – $193,875
