Base pay range $48.00/hr - $60.00/hr
CONTRACT : 6‑month extendable
MUST HAVES
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Science with 3+ years of experience in a cell biology/cellular assay development role
Demonstrated experience handling (maintaining, passaging, plating) multiple cell lines at once
Deep expertise with multi‑color flow cytometry‑based assays
Hands‑on experience with primary immune cells, including human PBMC handling, isolation and differentiation
The Opportunity As a key player in our Cancer Immunology team, you will:
Use immunology techniques to perform cutting‑edge studies, in vitro and ex vivo, to interrogate key scientific questions about established or candidate drug targets and therapeutic mechanisms
Support immune biomarker identification to inform patient selection for monotherapy and combination therapy strategies
Collaborate with biochemists, cell biologists, pharmacologists and other team members to generate new models and novel insights that fuel drug development
Manage and analyze experimental data and present experimental results at internal meetings and scientific conferences
Execute experimental strategies, using cellular and molecular immunological techniques, to investigate target biology and therapeutic mechanisms of action in in vitro and ex vivo immuno‑oncology models
Expand our immune‑based assay toolbox by implementing new technologies
Required Skills, Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Science with 3+ years of experience in a cell biology/cellular assay development role. Title will be adjusted according to experience.
Deep expertise with mammalian cell culture across a variety of cell types (primary and immortalized) and growth conditions. Demonstrated experience handling (maintaining, passaging, plating) multiple cell lines at once.
Deep expertise with multi‑color flow cytometry‑based assays
Hands‑on experience with primary immune cells, including human PBMC handling, isolation and differentiation
Hands‑on experience with ex vivo experiments, including murine tissue collection, dissociation, and processing for downstream applications
Rigorous, quantitative, attention to detail, keen to maximize efficiency
Highly organized, and excellent record‑keeping skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate collaboration with project and departmental teams
Innovative, proactive team‑player with high energy who will thrive in our fast‑paced drug discovery and development environment
Preferred Skills Additional experience in the following is a plus:
Experience with spectral flow cytometers
Immuno‑oncology assays including immune cell phenotypic and functional characterization (T cell proliferation, suppression and killing assays, antigen presentation assays, phagocytosis assays, etc.)
Incucyte cell‑based assays
