CT Technologist Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Night Shift 6:30pm – 7:00am; 13 week contract assignment.

Pay Rate: $75 per hour.

Local applicants only - this is not a travel contract.

Responsibilities

Performs all CT examinations according to department procedure manual and established protocols.

Interview patients for history pertaining to CT exam, including unusual conditions or limitations.

Prepares and/or administers contrast media, oral and IV contrast.

Monitors patients for abnormal changes in color, respiration, heart rate and responsiveness; responds to emergencies, administers first aid/CPR as needed.

Maintains emergency equipment in the room (O2, suction, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, Benadryl, Adrenalin, Epinephrine 1:1,000 and 1:10,000).

Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and visual ID band inspection per Radiology Safety Manual.

Provides radiation protection to patient, staff and self per radiation safety standards (lead aprons, gloves, glasses).

Assists and/or moves patients independently to and from wheelchairs, stretchers and CT scan table.

Prepares patients for procedures per Radiology Department protocols.

Verifies radiology order accuracy by checking physician's order in patient’s chart or prescription.

Assists radiologists in IR CT examinations including biopsies.

Uses EPIC to access laboratory results for exam related information.

Qualifications

Minimum of high school diploma or GED.

Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.

Minimum 1 year experience as a CT Technologist.

CPR certification required.

CT certification required.
