Birchwood Cottages
The Executive Director of our Owatonna community is stepping into a new leadership role within the company! As we prepare for this transition, we are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Owatonna community. This individual will provide oversight of all community operations, ensuring exceptional resident care and service. The role also involves active participation in operational planning and strategic initiatives to achieve community goals, while building strong relationships and engaging in community outreach to support continued occupancy growth.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Lead the overall operations of the community to ensure residents receive exceptional, person-centered memory care.
Inspire and support a dedicated team committed to enhancing residents’ quality of life and wellbeing.
Oversee daily operations including staffing, care services, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
Foster a warm, engaging, and supportive community culture where residents, families, and team members feel valued.
Partner with clinical and care leaders to maintain high standards of care and safety.
Monitor resident care plans to ensure individualized needs are met with compassion and excellence.
Manage financial performance and resources responsibly to support long-term community success.
Build meaningful relationships with residents’ families through open communication and trust.
Lead marketing and outreach initiatives to maintain strong occupancy and a positive community presence.
Collaborate with organizational leaders to implement programs, goals, and best practices.
Encourage team growth through coaching, training, and professional development opportunities.
Schedule & Compensation:
This is a salaried position that starts at $80,000/year; compensation is dependent on candidate experience and LALD licensure status.
Schedule is typically Monday thru Friday, daytime hours. This position may require hours outside of 8a - 5p, and weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the community.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
At least 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role required
Currently licensed as an Assisted Living Director in MN or able to obtain within 12 months of employment
Must be able to pass a MN background study
Experience in memory care, and/or assisted living communities preferred
