About the role The Media Associate Director plays a pivotal role in shaping Clorox’s social-first transformation and enterprise media investment strategy with Head, Heart, and Guts—bringing analytical rigor, empathetic collaboration, and bold leadership to every conversation. This role serves as a key connector across internal teams, external agencies, and media partners, influencing decisions at the C‑Suite, Center Marketing leadership, and Business Unit leadership levels.
This role leads the Paid Social capability, with expected broadening towards Holistic Social. The role will be a key member, voice, and participant on our newly formed social accelerator team; a group of social experts dedicated to shaping and building our social‑first agenda. The creation of this team represents a significant commitment to content creation and a modern, full‑funnel approach to social transformation across marketing communications. Over time, this will stretch into even bolder use of social platforms as a point of consumer connection, whether that’s TikTok Shop, pre‑launching innovation, or faster off‑platform business responses to what’s trending. At the heart of this evolution is a renewed focus on relevancy and social, ensuring we show up in the moments and places that matter most to our consumers.
The role will also develop & manage a paid media investment strategy that is consumer obsessed utilizing consumer data to tailor personalized experiences, diversifying our media mix, and establishing strategic partnerships with key paid media vendors that align with our consumer‑centric approach.
What will you do? Enterprise Media Strategy & Partnerships (30–40%)
Develop and execute a consumer‑focused paid media investment strategy to drive brand engagement and ROI.
Serve as the primary liaison for media agencies, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Socialize strategies and best practices across the organization, from CMO to Business Leads.
Paid & Holistic Social Leadership (60–70%)
Lead the Social Accelerator team, overseeing paid, organic, creator, and influencer strategies.
Act as the main point of contact for key social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit).
Monitor platform access, troubleshoot issues, and provide trend insights to inform marketing strategies.
What will you need to be successful?
Experience:
10–15 years agency and client‑side experience with deep expertise in Paid Social and Holistic Social; ideally also a versatile media generalist across strategy, planning, and buying (traditional and digital).
Skills:
Data‑driven insight, team empowerment, decisive action, media analysis, negotiation, leadership influence, project management, trend awareness, cross functional collaboration.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, or a related field preferred.

Your starting pay will depend on job‑related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $153,700 - $309,000
–Zone B: $140,900 - $283,300
–Zone C: $128,100 - $257,500
