Our client is seeking a Studio Photo Manager to oversee the studio photographer resourcing, use of photo studio space and cross functional communication for the Product, Design & Marketing's Visuals Studio team.
You will work closely with Visuals Studio photo art directors and dedicated Radio studio photographers to monitor the artist visit photography captured at Music's studios for on and off platform needs. You will occasionally work on projects across other Services as well. You will work closely with the artist relations team, navigating artist approvals and delivery of assets. As our client scales across lines of business and expands internationally, you will develop and implement best practices for studio photography.
Key Responsibilities
Manage studio photographer resourcing
Manage the use and schedule of the photo capture spaces in US based studios
Partner with cross-functional teams to support workflow transition, consulting on the best way to integrate the photo team workflow into the overall process
Track monthly artist visits, captures, performances, etc., noting when new trends occur and influencing any support changes that are necessary as well as influencing staffing strategies
Advocate for the studio photographers - attending meetings, answering and coordinating image requests and delivering assets
Track photo approvals, quality checking decks and links as needed
Develop strategy for process cross-functionally and internal
Update documentation around process to reflect changes made in real time
Be the point of contact between show producers and the radio studio photographers, managing the communication for availability, timeline feasibility and deliverables
Partner with teams outside of Radio to make sure they have the right assets ahead of deadlines
Establish photo studio system in international markets and be the main point of contact in process set-up
Manage spatial content capture, SOiP efforts and collaborations captured in our studios
Provide creative and retouching feedback as needed to maintain photography standards
Support the Serial team in the creative process for new radio show development
Occasionally support studio captures onsite, which could require travel for shoots, events and new photographer assignment preparations
Manage the quarterly photo studio budget, tracking orders for equipment replacements, studio bookings, production costs, etc.
Qualifications The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with photographers, creating standardized processes, and working with cross-functional teams. You possess strong communication, project and time management skills, are incredibly organized and have a proven ability to work collaboratively with others - in a fast‑paced, constantly‑changing environment. You are a motivated, self‑starter who stays calm under pressure. You are enthusiastic about culture and lifestyle, with an eye for detail and craft‑focused skills.
