Interior Designer
Job Description This position supports the Interiors Studio, engaging in all phases of project development from conceptual design to construction documents and administration. The role involves leading the production of deliverable documents through various design phases, focusing on Sr Living and other Institutional Projects. Responsibilities also include FF&E selection, client management, and project management, ensuring quality control and compliance.
Responsibilities
Lead the production of deliverable documents through Schematic Design, Development Design, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration phases.
Manage FF&E selection.
Provide daily client and project management.
Review documents for quality control evaluations and ensure ongoing compliance.
Lead a team to develop design drawings, technical documentation, and construction administration phase documents.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit.
Experience in architecture, with a focus on Sr Living, commercial, and mixed‑use projects.
Project leadership and documentation coordination skills.
Strong presentation, organizational, and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Graphic skills and software knowledge in SketchUp, InDesign, and Photoshop.
Production level candidates with 3+ years of experience are welcome.
Work Environment The work environment consists of five studios with 75 employees located in Baltimore. The Interiors team has seven members. The office is located on the 18th floor of the 100 N Charles Tower, offering a panoramic view of the city. Employees are encouraged to work in the office four days a week with one day hybrid. Work hours are generally from 9‑6 or 8‑5, with a preference for starting at 8 or 8:30. The office space is Class A, recently renovated, with exciting projects and a collaborative atmosphere. Project types include corporate headquarters, restaurant chains, hospitality, and multi‑family projects.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 – $28.00 per hour.
